Amenities

EAT Dining facilities throughout the park offer a variety of meals, snacks, treats and beverages.

SHOP The Island Surf Shop features a wide selection of brand-name sportswear, beachwear and other must-have summer items.

CHILL Relaxing beach and picnic areas invite you to spread out your towel and stay awhile.

CHANGE Lockers, showers and changing areas make it easy to suit up.

GATHER Rent your own private Cabana or Chikee Hut and create an official place for family and friends to regroup throughout the day.

CARIBBEAN COIN Adventure Island offers Caribbean Coin, a convenient in-park spending system. The waterproof wristband can be obtained at Guest Relations. Load money on to the wristband with cash or credit card, then wear your wristband all day in and out of the water and simply show it as form of payment at any shop, restaurant or snack stand in the park. Any unused cash is refunded at the end of the day at Guest Relations.

Rules & Safety

We want your stay at Adventure Island to be safe as well as fun. Here are some ways we've worked to make every adventure, from swimming to dining, worry-free:

Water Safety

Your safety is our first order of business at Adventure Island. That's why we've placed more than 50 guards certified by the American Red Cross throughout the park to supervise water attractions and activities. Additional medical assistance is always available at our First Aid station staffed by emergency medical technicians and paramedics.

Coolers

Adventure Island is committed to guest safety and satisfaction. In our continuing efforts to enhance your park experience, coolers brought into the park must not exceed the size of 15x15x15 inches.

Guests with coolers too large to bring into the park may enjoy unlimited access to our picnic pavilion located outside the entrance. Glass and alcoholic beverages are not permitted to enter the park.

Smoking Policy

Adventure Island is committed to a safe and friendly environment; therefore, smoking is prohibited in lines for the rides, in all water attractions and at Fabians Fun Port.

Picnic Areas

Picnic Areas are located in the picnic pavilion near the front entrance. Picnics and coolers larger than 15x15x15 inches may not be taken in the park. (Exception: Baby food and medicine are permitted.)

Attire

Guests may wear swimsuits or shorts, and T-shirts on rides. No thong bathing suits are allowed and T-shirts may not be worn on body flumes. Aqua Socks are permitted on rides and in pool areas.

Prohibited Items

For the comfort and safety of our guests, prohibited items include but are not limited to the following: Weapons, Knives, Alcohol, Glass Containers, Coolers Larger than 16 Quarts or Exceeding 15' in Length, Width or Height, Carts and Wagons, Tents and Canopys, Barbecue Grills, Flotation Devices, Scuba Masks, Portable Stereos, Pets, Thong Swimwear, Cut-Off and Frayed Shorts, Clothing with Metal Trim.

Adventure Island reserves the right to prohibit any item that compromises the safety and well being of our guests without posted warning.

Segways

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is committed to providing guests a safe and enjoyable experience. Because of different pathway configuration and terrain as well as large crowds that include small children and strollers, we regret that we cannot permit the use of two-wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicles such as Segways. We are pleased to offer other forms of personal transportation, including electric convenience vehicles and standard wheelchairs and we encourage you to contact Guest Services with any questions you may have.

Special Needs & Accessibility

Our goal at Adventure Island is to offer a fun and safe experience for everyone, regardless of their physical limitations. This accessibility guide will explain just how we do it, from parking your vehicle to riding our rides.

Once you get to the park, be sure to observe all safety signs located at the entrance to each attraction. If you're not sure about a whether a ride or attraction is right for you or your child, don't hesitate to ask any park team member.

Parking

Parking is available directly in front of the entrance to the park on a first-come, first-serve basis for guests with a legal permit. All spaces for guests with disabilities are accessible to vans. Vehicles parked in disabled parking without a permit are subject to applicable laws.

First Aid

First Aid is located near the entrance to the park. Emergency medical technicians and paramedics staff our First Aid location, during normal park hours. If you need medical attention, contact the nearest staff member, and they will be happy to contact First Aid for you.

Restrooms

Most restrooms are accessible to wheelchairs. Companion restroom facilities are located adjacent to the Everglides attraction.

Gift Shops

All gift shops are wheelchair accessible. Please ask any staff member for assistance.

Restaurant

All restaurants are accessible to guests with disabilities. See our dining guide for more information.

Important Allergen Information

To best serve you and assure a safe and enjoyable dining experience, we ask that you please read and understand ALL of the important information below.

Trained and Educated Staff: Our staff has been educated and trained in allergen management in association with The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAANTM) to ensure your safety.

Offering of Specialty Items: Our Park offers several allergen friendly prepackaged items for your special dietary needs. For a list of these items and their location, please ask to speak to a supervisor at our main meal facilities.

Allergen Information Cards: Located at our guest services and main meal facilities will also be Allergen Information Cards . These cards will contain similar information to what is provided through the website including tips for a safe trip, information on a suggested meal facility for your special dietary needs, as well as a chef card for you to fill out. Please pick one of these cards up when you arrive so you can receive all the information you will need to have a safe and enjoyable stay with us.

What to Do: Upon arriving at a meal facility, please go straight to the cashier and ask to speak with a supervisor in order to discuss the severity of your allergens and determine a meal that will be safe for you.

Cross Contact: Not all of our meal facilities are free from cross contact. In order to ensure your meal is safe, please discuss the preparation process for your meal with the supervisor as you place your order to ensure no cross-contact takes place.

Service Animals

Trained service animals are welcome at Adventure Island. However, these animals must remain on a leash or in a harness and are not allowed to enter any of the pools. Guests are responsible for the cleanup of service animal waste and behavior control and the service animals must be accompanied by their owner or another party member at all times.

Adventure Island staff members are not permitted to care for service animals.

Attraction & Ride Accessibility

At Adventure Island, safety is the only consideration that takes precedence over fun. Because of the aggressive physical dynamics of our water rides, individuals who are afraid of heights or prone to motion sickness should consider whether or not they want to participate.

For those with a history of heart condition problems, bone or joint problems, back or spinal problems, pregnancy, or any recent surgery, etc., certain rides are not recommended.

Guests with any type of prosthesis should ensure that it is properly secured and will remain in place in spite of forces experienced during the rides. Prosthetic devices should also be protected from the water. Download ourPark Accessibility Guide 2013.

Physically Challenged Guests

The Riptide, Gulfscream, Everglides, Aruba Tuba, Calypso Coaster, Runaway Rapids, Moccasin, Corkscrew, Wahoo Run, and Key West Rapids are accessed by way of tall platform towers. Ascending to the top of these towers requires the ability to climb steps.

Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides. The park limits admittance based on height for these slide activities (42 inches or 48 inches depending on the water slide) and the ability to control body position.

Adventure Island employees can offer assistance steadying a guest transferring to or from a wheelchair. They may not lift, or assist in lifting, anyone using a wheelchair.

Riptide

What It Is: A 55-ft enclosed tube ride that opens up into four racing lanes. Featuring hairpin turns and a soaking pool at the finish.

Age/Height Restrictions: You must be at least 42 inches tall to ride Riptide.

Rambling Bayou

What It Is: The Lazy River offers a relaxing trip around the park, while riding on an inflated inner tube. It takes guests through a misted rainforest and a flowing waterfall.

Rider Position/Accessibility: This attraction is accessible to guests with disabilities by way of a ramp located at the exit pool to the Aruba Tuba and Calypso Coaster.

Age/Height Restrictions: Riders under 42 inches tall must wear a life vest. Hand-held infants are not permitted for their safety.

Gulfscream

What It Is: A 225-foot-long body slide with a splash pool and speeds up to 42 miles per hour.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Accessed by way of tall platform towers. You must be able to climb steps in order to ascend to the top of these towers. Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides.

Age/Height Restrictions: You must be at least 54 inches tall to ride Gulfscream.

Everglides

What It Is: A 46-foot-long water toboggan ride that releases you into a pool where riders hydroplane up to 100 feet before coming to a stop.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Accessed by way of tall platform towers. You must be able to climb steps in order to ascend to the top of these towers. Riders must have the ability to control body position. Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides.

Age/Height Restrictions: You must be at least 42 inches tall to ride Everglides.

Calypso Coaster

What It Is: An open flume ride with tubes that can be experienced solo or by two riders per tube.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Accessed by way of tall platform towers. You must be able to climb steps in order to ascend to the top of these towers. Riders must have the ability to control body position. Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides.

Age/Height Restrictions: Riders under 42 inches tall must wear a life vest, and be able to maintain proper riding position unassisted.

Water Moccasin

What It Is: With three bright blue tubes, this high-speed waterslide sends you twirling 30 feet into a splash pool below.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Accessed by way of tall platform towers. You must be able to climb steps in order to ascend to the top of these towers. Riders must have the ability to control body position. Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides.

Age/Height Restrictions: You must be 48 inches tall to ride Water Moccasin.

Caribbean Corkscrew

What It Is: 230 feet of serpentine translucent tubes twist and turn riders before bringing them to a splashing stop.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Accessed by way of tall platform towers. You must be able to climb steps in order to ascend to the top of these towers. Riders must have the ability to control body position. Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides.

Age/Height Restrictions: You must be 48 inches tall to ride Caribbean Corkscrew.

Wahoo Run

What It Is: A five-person raft ride, with a 108 wide diameter tube and 600 feet of drenching twists and drops and back-to-back curves and turns with four waterfall curtains.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Accessed by way of tall platform towers. You must be able to climb steps in order to ascend to the top of these towers. Riders must have the ability to control body position. Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides.

Age/Height Restrictions: Riders under 42 inches tall must wear a life vest, be accompanied by a supervising companion, and be able to maintain proper riding position unassisted.

Aruba Tuba

What It Is: A twisting, turning ride through open and closed portions of slides.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Accessed by way of tall platform towers. You must be able to climb steps in order to ascend to the top of these towers. Riders must have the ability to control body position. Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides.

Age/Height Restrictions: Riders under 42 inches tall must wear a life vest, and be able to maintain proper riding position unassisted.

Runaway Rapids

What It Is: Five different flume experiences descend from a 32-ft high mountain-like structure with numerous twists and turns ending in a splash pool.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Accessed by way of tall platform towers. You must be able to climb steps in order to ascend to the top of these towers. Riders must have the ability to control body position. Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides.

Age/Height Restrictions: Slides 1 & 2: Parent may ride with a small child in front. Slides 3, 4, & 5: single riders only and no life vests allowed.

Key West Rapids

What It Is: A six-story ride with 700-feet of twisting slides ending in a splash pool.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Accessed by way of tall platform towers. You must be able to climb steps in order to ascend to the top of these towers. Riders must have the ability to control body position. Children who can be assisted by adult companions may access these slides.

Age/Height Restrictions: Riders under 54 inches tall must wear a life vest, and be able to maintain proper riding position unassisted.

Children's Attractions

Note: All children's restrooms at Adventure Island have a fully accessible baby changing station. Children who normally wear a diaper are required to wear a swim diaper while in the park. Swim diapers are available at the Island Surf Shop at the main entrance of the park.

Fabian's Funport Children's Area

What It Is: Water play area with water toy elements designed to provide safe water activities for young children.

Rider Position/Accessibility: The entrance is flat and wheelchair accessible. This is a good location for adult guests with disabilities to watch their children play and enjoy the water.

Age/Height Restrictions: Children under 50 inches tall.

PoolsEndless Surf

What It Is: This 17,000-square foot pool is capable of making waves up to six feet in height. The pool is operated on a cycle of 8 minutes of waves on; 10 minutes of waves off.

Rider Position/Accessibility: Wheelchair access is located on the north and south side of the wave pool.

Age/Height Restrictions: We strongly suggest that all weak or non-swimmers wear a life vest.

Splash Attack

What It Is: The park's most drenching attraction ever, offers more than 50 water elements, including twisting slides, bridges and a 40-foot-high water-tower bucket.

Age/Height Restrictions: For all guests

Paradise Lagoon

What It Is: Features cliff jumps, hydro tubes and a 9,000-square-foot lagoon pool fed by cascading waterfalls.

Rider Position/Accessibility: This pool is accessible for those with disabilities. Please check with the lifeguard at this location for assistance.

Age/Height Restrictions: We strongly suggest that all weak or non-swimmers wear a life vest.

Please Note: Life vests are not permitted on cliff jumps or hydro tube rides.
