The Stillwater River has 36 miles of floatable water and we take you to whatever section is best, based on the river level. When the water is high, you should experience the upper river. This section has the best and most continous whitewater anywhere on the river. This float will quickly become a favorite for all that go.
If whitewater isnt what your looking for, but the water is high, the scenic middle section is perfect. Scenic views and a few splashes will add to a great time on the river.
As the water recedes we head to the lower Stillwater for great scenery, fun whitewater and cliff jumping. This is the most floated section of the river and at ARA we guarantee we will provide the most fun on this stretch of river. (We can run this section anytime, but when water is high we recommend the upper river.)
Later in the summer we move further down the Stillwater. We hit all the fun spots on the lower river and continue on down to the warm waters of the mighty Yellowstone. The Yellowstone offers you the chance to swim and play, but dont get too relaxed, the Yellowstone throws in some big waves and whitewater to end your trip with a bang.
The river changes from May to August and so does ARA. We guarantee you will be floating the best section of the Stillwater when you choose Absaroka River Adventures.
