Description

Maui’s NorthShore Zipline Co will make you want to leave the beach and head for the trees, for an incredible treetop adventure that the entire family can enjoy.Located in Haiku at Camp Maui, a former World War II Marine Corps training camp, it is an experience that you will never forget. It’s a fabulous experience for children who, if they are aged five and above, can venture everywhere that the adults go, as long as they weigh 40lbs or more. After checking in and meeting your tour guides and the rest of your small, personalized group, you will be equipped with a helmet, gloves and a comfortable three-point harness. These harnesses allow full range of movement, which means that you might soon find yourself striking a yoga, Superman or “The Scorpion” pose as you whizz through the trees. There are seven lines in total—ranging from a modest practice line up to those that reach heights of 70 feet, with speeds of 40mph and up to 900ft long. The first, being a miniature introductory zipline, is completely undaunting—even for the most faint-hearted members of your group. Here, you will learn all about safety, getting on and off the ziplines and, rather importantly, how to stop.Only adults will be required to use braking techniques on a small selection of the lines. For children—the guides will take care of this and will take them on tandem zips where necessary.
