Deluxe Dolphin Lana’i Snorkel Adventure
This trip has stood the test of time and has been taken by literally thousands of guests, many of whom continue to return year after year. Captain Steve has been conducting this adventure for almost three decades. Waste no time in discovering the secrets of the reef and playing with dolphins, whales, turtles, and rays. There is no telling what we might encounter on any given day! Sea caves, burial caves, towering sea cliffs, secluded coves, and lava rock pinnacles make up the setting. Imagine a pod of 200 spinner dolphins putting on a show just for you or swimming next to an endangered green sea turtle in the crystal waters of the Pacific above the most exquisite fringing reef in the entire State of Hawaii. Perhaps you will catch a glimpse of the most curious creature on the reef…an octopus! They are sure to be watching you!

A continental breakfast consisting of fresh local fruit, fresh-baked muffins, granola bars, juice, green tea, and water is served during the morning check-in process at Mala Boat Ramp. Our lunch is a delicious selection of deli meats and cheeses, two types of bread, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, sweet Maui onions, and sprouts alongside white albacore tuna with capers, pasta salad, olives, pickles, peperonchinis, fresh-sliced vegetables, papaya seed dressing, mayo, and mustard. Sodas, iced tea, water, and macadamia nut cookies are always close at hand. We have even had guests come along just for the ride and the lunch! High quality masks, fins, and snorkels are provided, and floatation devices, life jackets, and wetsuits are also available upon request.
This is my favorite trip. The extra time not only allows us to get to know you better, but also gives us the time to complete our informal checklist of a perfect day out on the ocean. During whale season, the entire day becomes a whale watch, as we see them in the channel and listen to them while we snorkel. We see Dolphins 98% of the time on this trip, including spotted dolphins, spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and psuedo orcas. Green sea turtles are also pretty much guaranteed. Cruising most of the island of Lana’i gives us many choices from which to choose a calm, secluded cove and to view the sea cliffs and caves. Lunch is very relaxing with a chance for everyone to feel part of our Ohana, and some think the ride home is the very best part of the day, as the trade winds have usually kicked up a bit and make for a thrilling ride. These excursions are NOT recommended for pregnant women, people with bad backs, or children under the age of five years.
"I want to make sure that everyone who comes on our boat absolutely loves their experience. It's really important to me that your trip is one of the highlights of your vacation, and that you're being treated with the Spirit of Aloha from the moment you call to the time you step off the boat after your adventure. I'm dedicated to making each and every one of my guests happy!" - Steve
