CLIMATE AND FEATURES.
Known as The Garden Isle for good reason, the lushness of Kauai is due to high amounts of rainfall in some areas. In fact, one of the wettest spots on earth, located on the east side of Mount Wai’ale’ale has an average rainfall of 460 inches annually. Over time, this rainfall has eroded deep valleys and canyons on the island, including Waimea Canyon, “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific.”

Paddle. Snorkel. Marvel.
A day of discovery from a unique perspective. This is truly an unexpected adventure. You'll paddle in to secret beaches hidden in Kauai’s rugged southern shoreline. Then snorkel and bodysurf at exclusive locations only accessible by boat.
Feel the fine white sand between your toes as you realize the only footprints are your own. Keep watch for indigenous Hawaiian marine life like Green Sea Turtles, Spinner Dolphins, and of course Humpback Whales (seasonally from December through April). We'll be hoping to see incredible sights and amazing encounters that can only be experienced by kayak!
We use tandem, open-cockpit, or, sit-on-top type, self-bailing kayaks with foot pedal controlled rudders to facilitate safety and ease of operation. You'll be given a lightweight fiberglass paddle with a tether, life vest, and dry bag as well.
This tour is available Tuesday thru Saturday in the winter months from mid-September thru mid-May.
What To Wear and Bring
We recommend you bring a swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, windbreaker or light raincoat, sport-type sandals or aqua socks, waterproof sunscreen, billed hat with keeper, sun-glasses with keeper, towel, and waterproof camera. These items can be purchased at our Poipu shop. We also recommend over-the-counter medication (try Bonine) for seasickness that won't cause drowsiness- best taken the night before the tour, as well as the day of the tour.
