We're open from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Saturday, with the exception of major holidays.

The mission of the Yellowstone County Museum is to collect, preserve, research, interpret and promote the history and diverse culture of the Yellowstone River Basin. We share this legacy through a full range of museum, archival and educational programs and services in order to increase public awareness and appreciation of our heritage and to enrich the cultural and intellectual lives of everyone.
Museum's Focus: Prehistory of the Plains/Montana through to the 1950's. Exhibits/Archives include materials specific to Northern Plains Indian Tribes, western expansion, mining, cattle/sheep herding industries, transportation industries, military (1870-1950's), various medical fields, music, textiles, household goods and personal goods.

Directions: The museum is located directly south of Billings Logan International Airport.
To reach the museum, drive into the airport, past the front of the terminal, around the west parking lots and follow the road as it curves east. The museum is located just before the airport exit on your right, 1950 Terminal Circle.
Museum parking is just before the museum building and along the road in the designated spots.
